Big Island Gets $443K Grant for Drug-Court Team

The Big Island of Hawaii received a $443,405 federal grant to establish a Third Circuit Drug Court team to supervise and track high-risk defendants with drug problems. The U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services grant provides funding to hire two additional probation officers and one paralegal each for the prosecutor's and public defender's office.
